Solomon Levinson rose from obscurity to national fame by taking an unusual route in the schmatta trade. Researching his life and the lives of his family members has been littered with unexplained and unaccounted for situations. This presentation is a culmination of what Jeremy calls his "genealogical continuing education", a project taken on for no other reason than it tickled his genealogical funny bone.
Jeremy Frankel has been a member of the SFBAJGS since 1994 and president for the past nine years. In his varied professional lives, he has been a map maker, land surveyor, author, local government records management researcher, and canal and boat restorer.
Light kosher refreshments will be served. Meetings are free and everyone interested is welcome to attend. For more information visit
