August Potluck Shabbat with Valley Ruach Hey Valley People (and non-Valley People), we're doing things a little differently for the summer.

Come join Valley Ruach for our next Shabbat potluck dinner on Friday night, August 17. The location will be at one of our community members homes in Encino- address to be sent later to those who RSVP. This event is free.
Be sure to Click "Pay at the Door" to confirm your RSVP. (No, you don't have to pay anything or bring an e-mail print-out.)

At 7:30pm, we'll have a shortened guitar-led service in our usual style. (Or maybe a slightly different style depending on who leads.) Then we do one of the things we Jews do best, eat together.

Please bring a dairy or vegetarian dish large enough for people to share. 10 servings is usually a good guideline for these things.

If you need ideas about what to bring, or if you have dietary restrictions that you want to make sure people consider, feel free to post on the Wall of our Facebook event page.

If you're not quite sure what to bring, here's a guide:...

If your last name begins with M-Z, please bring a Main Dish/Protein-type thing.

If your last name begins with A-L, please bring a side dish, appetizer, salad, desert, etc.

If you already decided what to bring, that's great. Feel free to post on the Facebook wall for this event and tell us.

If the food you're bringing needs to be heated up, please bring it in the container it will be heated in. Also, if it requires a serving spoon, or knife, etc. please bring that too. (We're already asking a lot of our host. Let's try not to leave them with any dirty dishes.)
